Lipstick Tuesdays continues and I thought it’d be a good idea to repeat the matte liquid lipstick theme as the warm weather doesn’t really allow anything less stable if you don’t want to re-apply your lipstick / lip gloss every half an hour.
One of the everyday cheap options I picked up lately is Make Up Revolution’s Salvation Velvet Lacquer in What I believe.
The shade is a light nude pink with a slight peachy undertone that is perfect for everyday wear. This is a highly pigmented liquid lipstick which behaves like a lip gloss upon application but in a minute or so it dries completely into a matte formula. Due to the high pigmentation very little is required otherwise it will feel too heavy. Also if your lips are dry it will cling to the dry patches and get flaky but if your lips are in good condition you will need very little product and it will last you through the whole day. I always put it on in the morning, go to work, talk, eat, drink and it stays put. If I feel my lips dry during or at the end of the day I just apply a tiny bit of lip balm and it refreshes it nicely.
For just £3 I think it’s an excellent budget option for a long lasting matte lipstick. Enjoy the rest of the week!
