Lalique Mon Premier Cristal Hirondelles

Paris, August 1st 1888. This is the date of birth of the house of Lalique. The day when René Lalique registered his hallmark, made up of his initials and a stylized sword, to be stamped on the gold jewels he designed.

In 2018, Lalique celebrates their 130th anniversary with a new collection that takes us to the heart of its founder’s peerless heritage: the Swallow. For the occasion, the Mon Premier Cristal Collection presents a precious Limited Edition of 130 numbered pieces, engraved on the base with the logo « Lalique 130 ans, 1888-2018 ».

A beautiful perfume housed in a uniquely precious crystal bottle, adorned with a Swallows motif hand painted in 23-carat gold and decorated with black accessories that bring out the radiance of gold and crystal: dark as a swallow’s wing, a graceful feather jewel adorns the neck of the bottle, with a matching spray puff.

Master perfumer Nathalie Lorson who is responsible for many of Lalique’s iconic scents like Encre Noire, Perles de Lalique & Amethyst has chosen, for this limited edition celebrating the swallow, to showcase a delicate flower of the south, harvested in countries where the bird migrates for winter, from Provence to Egypt and India… an essence as precious as gold: jasmine

TOP NOTES Freesia, Gardenia, Tuberose

Nathalie Lorson speaks of Mon Premier Cristal Hirondelles

“For Lalique’s 130th anniversary, I imagined a scent as airy and poetic as the flight of the swallow. A very natural jasmine, magnificent, uncompromising, in a style as streamlined, polished and limpid as crystal!”

A very unique scent revolving around this beautiful flower and the three different types of jasmine from around the world complement each other; Indian Jasmine Sambac with its unique solar radiance, Egyptian Jasmine Grandiflorum with its lush voluptuousness and the rare Grasse jasmine with its intense creaminess blend with the other white flowers, musks and vanilla to produce a scent that is fresh, lush, indulgent and sweet yet airy, vibrant and silky smooth.

I received a sample to try it and when I wear it gives me the feeling of floating on air; the scent is so natural that you are immediately feel you’ve buried your face in a jasmine bush inhaling the intoxicating scent!

Nathalie Lorson did an excellent job interpreting the elegance and grace of the Swallow's flight. I only wish it became more widely available as it's the perfect jasmine scent for people that love the smell of this delicate yet potent flower.
