With the weather being Hot n' Cold like Katie Perry's hit song, I tend to reach for fragrances that combine effortless cool with a touch of summer warmth and sweetness. My latest choices are six fragrances from three brands I really love.

BDK Parfums, Sel D'Argent & Citrus Riviera
Both are housed in mood boosting blue bottles that scream summer and carelessness, Citrus Riviera is a dazzling zesty sweet citrus fragrance that is bright and warm at the same time, like whitewashed walls that glimmer in the sunlight and release the heat of the day late in the evening while Sel D'Argent feels like salty sun kissed skin with the faint remains of a sun lotion still lingering on.

Maison Crivelli Osmanthe Kōdoshān & Citrus Batikanga
Another pair of fragrances perfect for summer; Osmanthe Kōdoshān is a peachy osmanthus floral breeze coming from a tree nested deep in a humid jungle and Citrus Batikanga combines masterfully the freshness of citruses with the heat of chilli in a composition that reminds me of a a frozen lemonade spiked with chilli.

Citrus Batikanga

Atelier Cologne, Orange Sanguine & Lemon Island.
Atelier Cologne is a staple of mine, especially during summer as they've managed to bottle some of the most solar / summery scents! A couple of my favourite summer fragrances they have include Orange Sanguine, a bright and juicy sun soaked fragrance with the most delicious fruity drydown and Lemon Island, one of their latest releases, a gorgeous cocktail-on-the-beach fragrance, bright, sparkling, warm and thirst quenching with a breeze of magical jasmine coming from a nearby bush.
