Brioni EdP #TailorYourLegend

It's been a while since I uploaded a post but as new fragrance releases are starting to come forward I am really excited to share my thoughts with you. One of the latest launches I attended (virtually of course) was for the new Brioni Eau de Parfum. Brioni is an Italian brand that has transformed tailoring into an art form and are considered one of the best bespoke tailors using exclusive materials executed to an impeccable standard.

They celebrated their 75th Anniversary in 2020 in a quiet fashion due to the pandemic and also announced Brad Pitt as their House Ambassador creating as well a line of clothing very close to his style in a campaign that provides a softer angle of the Brioni man, in a more intimate setting beyond the spotlight.

Brioni had previously released a couple of fragrances but recently they started a collaboration with Lalique to create a new line of perfumes that suit the House's image and ideals. The first fragrance has been created by perfumer Michel Almairac with the aim of it becoming the ultimate signature of masculine elegance.

After trying it I must say it is easily wearable by everyone as it has an effortless and refined quality with a very fresh and contemporary feel. Michel Almairac has chosen to use a short formula with few ingredients that work perfectly together and result in a beautiful scent. Using both natural ingredients sustainably sourced as well as synthetics he has created a balanced formula that's a perfect match for the House of Brioni.

The fragrance has an elegant and fresh opening with an ozonic feel followed by fresh pink peppercorn and crisp green apple. The main heart note consists of soft and powdery violets that are very prominent and warmed up by ambroxan that gives you the feel of putting on a comfortable piece of clothing. The dry-down keeps the clean and refined feel with naturally grown cedarwood infused with the slightest hint of smooth tonka bean and cashmere-soft musk.

In my head the sequence of notes follows pretty much the ritual of a man getting dressed in the morning, fresh out of the shower, putting on an elegant suit and walking out of the house to seize the day leaving a refined and elegant scent trail on his way. I can easily see it becoming a classic!

The Brioni EdP is available at brioni.com from March 25th and at the Brioni boutique, Flannels luxury doors, Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Fortnum & Mason as soon as the stores reopen.

It will be £70 for 60ml and £95 for 100ml.
