With perfume sampling becoming more and more popular due to the pandemic and the question often asked to The Perfume Society team: ‘What are the best fragrances to wear for Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter?’ they decided to create the Seasonal Scents Subscription, with eight fabulous scents in every box that match the mood of each season and help us transition our nose to scents that would suit better our sense of smell while training it in the process.
Every season a box containing eight samples (including miniatures) will arrive at your address; its contents will be a surprise and the usual Smelling Notes (which are now done online for sustainability) as well as an Unboxing Video and other usefull tips will only be accessible through a QR code available inside the box.
The gorgeously curated box included some of my already favourites for the season plus a few I had not yet tried and have since have been added to my wish list!
Atelier Cologne Clementine California is one of my favourite zesty colognes with a warm spicy feel and a creamy / earthy drydown while Giorgio Armani My Way feels like a sparkling bouquet of spring flowers bathed in warm sunlight. Lancôme Maison Lancôme Pivoines Printemps has become a love at first sniff with it's delicate naughtiness (imagine blushing peonies, sparkling pink pepper and velvety roses) as well as Maison Margiela Mutiny with it's unique take on tuberose (imagine saffron painted tuberose blooms bound in leather ribbons).
Mugler Angel Nova is a fresh and tart rose fragrance that I prefer much more than the original Angel, while Valentino Born in Roma Yellow Dream is a warmer rose, equally beautiful and sweet.
Viktor+Rolf Flowerbomb Dew surprised me with its powdery transparency, airy and silky feel while YSL Libre is an ode to freedom and orange blossoms, combined with aromatic and woody notes producing a surprising gender bending fragrance.
