Perfume of the week... Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Teazzurra

We are enjoying the last days of August and while we are still in summer mood, you can feel the weather getting cooler in the evenings. During daytime though when it’s still quite hot and humid I reach out for something light and refreshing like Guerlain’s Teazzurra.

With top notes of bergamot, lemon, yuzu and grapefruit; middle notes of green tea, chamomile and jasmine and base notes of musk, calone and vanilla, it offers instant refreshment upon spray. On my skin it opens with sparkling citruses and soon the tea and camomile make their appearance giving it a sweet fruity herbal note. I don’t get a lot of jasmine, the camomile note is more prominent to my nose, but it adds a sweetness and balance to the mix. The perfume remains fresh and floating for several hours on my skin before it settles to a lovely vanilla -musky skin scent true to the Guerlain character.

Overall a great uplifting scent and it’s a true shame it didn’t make it to the permanent Aqua Allegoria collection. Thankfully you can still find it online on several retailers so if you’d like to give it a try hurry before it becomes difficult to get!
