At the beginning of March I was invited by YMC, at their Lambs Conduit store, to celebrate the launch of their perfume in collaboration with Bon Parfumeur.
YMC was founded in 1995 by Fraser Moss and Jimmy Collins and the British label offers minimalist, timeless and genderless, unique clothing that draws on the “army chic” and “work wear” styles.
Bon Parfumeur was founded in 2017 by Ludovic Bonneton. They have 28+ fragrances in their collection and surprisingly I hadn't tried any of them beforehand. Bon Parfumeur was born from the desire to revive the beautiful perfumery of yesteryear, in an artistic, contemporary and creative way. All fragrances are unisex and can be combined with each other; I will definitely be looking into more of them in the future!
The Bon Parfumeur x YMC collaboration embodies the independent spirit of YMC through scent.
Dirty Rose was created by perfumer Serge De Oliveira and can be briefly described as a spicy rosy fragrance wrapped in a body of wood and flowers.

Dirty Rose tells the story of a great encounter between a young French perfume house and an uber cool English label. Free spirited and modern, it's a creative take on a rose fragrance.
It starts off fresh, fruity and sweet thanks to the mandarin with a bitter bite and a hint of spices. As it warms up on the skin the floral character reveals itself, a quite spicy rose / geranium with a green abundance and as the time goes by a sweet powdery facet appears and binds the woods and musks in the base with the rosy green freshness. It lingers on the skin and air releasing a creamy sandalwood rosy warmth for many hours.
This fragrance has been imagined for men and women of the new generation, both artists and urban, who know no boundaries. A genderless and ultra-contemporary spicy rose perfume, mysterious and addictive.
